Site of the Shibaguchi Gate | kokosil Ginza

Shibaguchi Gate was constructed in 1710 at the time of the sixth shogun, Ienobu. Arai Hakuseki had suggested the building of this gate in order to accept the Korean delegations and to serve as a symbol of national dignity. (It burnt down later.)
